Annette is currently CEO and Managing Partner at MinterEllison, an international law firm headquartered in Australia and regarded as one of Asia Pacific’s premier firms. Prior to joining MinterEllison as CEO in October 2018, Annette held a range of senior executive roles at Ernst & Young, designing and implementing large, complex transformations. She joined EY as a Partner in 2005, with her role evolving significantly over her 13-year tenure with the firm. She held senior roles in Asia Pacific and globally, leading various practice groups around the world to manage cultural change and strategic direction. Annette is also passionate about empowering women and supporting entrepreneurship. In 2012 she co-founded Scale Investors, Australia’s first seed capital organisation focused on equipping women with education and deal flow opportunities to invest in early-stage, female-led businesses. Scale is empowering women entrepreneurs and the women who invest in them. Annette is on the board of the Melbourne Business School, chairing the audit and risk committee. She previously sat on the board of Airservices Australia, and as chair of Airservices’ audit and risk committee oversaw a complete transformation of the organisations approach to risk management. Annette has attended executive leadership programs at prestigious business schools including Harvard, INSEAD and Kellogg.
