Celina Chew was President of the Bayer Group in Greater China from 1 September 2014 to 30 June 2019. She joined Bayer as a lawyer in 1997 and became Head of Legal for Bayer in Greater China from 1998 to 2011. During this time, Celina was a member of the Bayer Greater China Leadership Team where she also had special responsibility for topics such as Sustainability. In 2011, Celina moved to a management role as Country Group Head for Bayer in the North ASEAN Region and Managing Director at Bayer Thai Co. Ltd, responsible for Bayer’s operations in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. She returned to Bayer in Greater China in 2014 as President of Bayer, Greater China, with overall responsibility for Bayer’s operations in Greater China. Celina was named in the Forbes China Top 100 Businesswomen in China Lists for 2017 and 2018.
