Leanne Joyce is the Head of Government Relations with Australian Red Cross, where she is responsible for public policy and government relations. She has over 25 years’ experience across the government, corporate, and not-for-profit sectors in executive management, government affairs, media relations and issues management, and stakeholder relations.

Prior to joining Red Cross, Leanne was consulting in government relations and external affairs, and was a leading member of the International Association of Business Communicators both in Canberra and across the Asia Pacific region.

Most recently Leanne served on the Mentoring Taskforce for communications professionals around the world. Leanne’s previous experience includes Marketing and Communications Director for Austrade and prior to that, she was NSW Trade and Investment, Corporate and Government Affairs for Telstra, similar roles in Tax and Health, and was CEO of the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations. Leanne has qualifications in Public Policy, Professional Writing and has studied towards an MBA.
